An important update has come for the students waiting for JEE Advanced 2025. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has released the official information brochure for this year’s examination. This year some important changes have been made in the registration process, especially in the application fee. It is important for the candidates to know that this time the fees for the examination centers located abroad have been increased.
Change in registration date and fee
Online registration for JEE Advanced 2025 will start from 23 April 2025. This year, a special change has been made in the application fee, in which the fee for examination centers located abroad has been increased by 50 US dollars.
Especially for the examination centers in Abu Dhabi and Kathmandu, the application fee has been kept at US $ 150, while for other non-SAARC countries this fee will be US $ 250. This change is 50 US dollars more than last year. However, the fee for examination centers located within India will remain unchanged.

Application fee for foreign and Indian citizens
IIT Kanpur has also clarified the fee structure for Indian citizens and OCI/PIO cardholders.
Fees for Exam Centers in India
Female Candidates (All Categories): Rs 1600
SC, ST and Divyang Candidates: Rs 1600
All other candidates: Rs 3200
Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO Cardholders
- In SAARC countries: US$150
- In non-SAARC countries: US$250
Expansion and change of examination centers
The examination for JEE Advanced 2025 will now be held in 222 cities of India apart from Abu Dhabi and Kathmandu. However, this time the examination center in Dubai has been closed. Students will have to select the examination center as per their convenience.
During the registration process candidates will have to select 10 cities and will be allotted one of these cities. However, sometimes in exceptional circumstances another city may be allotted.
